  1. Since I’m just a fan and not an expert, I may be wrong, but aren’t calf kicks the most powerful against boxers?
Isn’t Aldo a Muay Thai fighter? As a result, he isn’t absolutely steady on his feet.
I assume that heavyweight boxing rivals are more likely to adapt by swapping lead legs more regularly and efficiently than by following the Muay Thai stance.

  2. That’s a curious observation. Many fighters have told me that it’s a very difficult kick to deal with. Aldo seems to be doing it with relative ease.

Is there someone with more experience than me who can describe the difficulty?

  3. This is why people who complain about the kick, such as Bisping, irritate me. It’s another part of the game that players must adapt to, and they can work out defenses and counters. I’m sure a lot of wrestlers would struggle simply because they don’t have enough experience testing and can’t respond quickly enough for a takedown versus a thigh level kick.
