  1. Don’t worry, this sub will continue to refuse to admit that eye pokes are usually the responsibility of the fighter and will continue to use gloves as if there is an eye poke in any fight. There’s an explanation why the majority of eye pokes come from the same individual.

  2. Another clickbait headline for the uninitiated… If Leon was given a rematch on the condition that he compete for a title shot, he would gladly accept. There’s no way Leon is frightened of a rematch.

  3. I’m tired of people acting stupid. These guys know exactly what they’re doing; they’re just poking for the sake of poking, or at the very least hoping the other guy steps into the poke, or at the very least using the threat of poking to keep distance. These guys could care less about each other’s eyes if they weren’t trying to rip each other’s heads off. It’s just a ruse.

  4. I sincerely believe Herb’s warning and the fact that it happened again in the very next round demonstrates how far Herb has fallen behind in the game. He’s far too hesitant to take points after threats, and even if it wasn’t on purpose, Herb, how many times would you alert anyone before acting?

  5. These remarks… “It wasn’t on purpose!” What was the last time you saw a “intentional” eye poke in the UFC? As in the scene where the guy fuckin sticks out two fingers and starts jabbing at the dude’s eyes like a Hollywood ninja or something. He wasn’t trying to blind Belal on purpose, but you should be DQd if you use your hands in a way that causes eye pokes all the time.

  6. Before the second round, Herb sent him a harsh warning and description. I understand it was an accident, and it was most likely an accident even on the tenth foul, but when does an eye poke become a DQ?

  7. To be honest, I’m not sure why it wasn’t a DQ. You eyepoke somebody, get an NC, and then refuse to rematch? This is a simple loophole that can be used. Either an NC with a guaranteed rematch or a DQ should be used.
