Conor McGegor just apparently donated the $500,000 him and Dustin were arguing about to…the Boys & Girls Club in Dustin’s hometown in Louisiana.

  1. A donation is a donation regardless of the circumstances, however children will benefit, so it’s difficult for me to be too enraged.

  2. Itt- people advising someone not to donate their hard-earned money to an actual charity/institution that supports people on a larger scale rather than a warrior who is essentially a part-time charity director.

  3. Perhaps die-hard fans would find this amusing. Conor obviously has the money, but he went out of his way to take advantage of Dustin while we all know Dustin would donate the money to a good cause. Dustin, go to battle.

  4. Guys, didn’t Dustin mention he was going to use the money for the Boys and Girls Club in the first place? I’m sure Dustin doesn’t mind because we’re just taking out the middle man.

  5. Obviously, it’s petty as hell, but it’s still $500k for charity, and after all the nonsense about Poiriers’ charity not getting any actual certifications, I’m not too bothered.

  6. They didn’t thank Dustin in the post, which was a little disappointing. Conor would not have donated it if it hadn’t been for him.

  7. Isn’t Dustin partnered with them and planning to use the donation for them? I think people are interpreting this as Conor trolling Dustin, but I believe this is just a donation that should’ve occurred a long time ago.

  8. I don’t see anything wrong with him skipping the middleman. He won’t have to remember his feud with Poirier, and he’ll be able to keep his word.

  9. People must admit that they were mistaken on this. Conor’s messaging was weak, but that was understandable given the sensitive nature of the topic. He wasn’t trying to keep the money for himself, as many people assumed.

  10. Excellent planning. They were a lifesaver for me as a single father. I’m just relieved that people are contributing. It doesn’t matter whether the beef is good or bad.

  11. This whole thread is made up of posts suggesting that Dustin fans will be upset because Conor gave money to a charity that Dustin supports.

  12. I know the UFC subreddit isn’t the most well-known in these parts, but did anyone see the article about Dustin’s foundation that someone made there? It was a fascinating experience.

  13. That’s a classy step, particularly because Dustin seemed to be planning on donating to the B&G club anyway. It’s a win-win situation for them both.

  14. Conor donates $500,000.00

“I’m going to shittalk this act of kindness because I’m so petty.”

“I have no idea what hypocrisy or irony was,” she adds.

  15. Conor has the option of donating to any charity of his choosing. Who cares whether he donates by Dustin or not; at the end of the day, they’re both supporting the same people.

Dustin doesn’t have the kind of ego to be angry over a donation.

  16. The Boys and Girls Club in my neighborhood provided many opportunities and outlets for local children, and I will always be grateful to them; good on you, Conor.

  17. Hey there, dude. Dustin, like everyone else in that group, must be overjoyed that Conor wanted to donate. It was the donation that really counted at the end of the day.

  18. As someone who grew up in a low-income family. The Boys and Girls Club has helped me tremendously. Definitely a worthy cause to endorse.

  19. Every summer for about 7 years, I spent 8 hours a day, 5 days a week at a boys and girls club. Where are you, drop-in crew?

    Conor, you’re a genius.

  20. You can despise Conor all you want, but his generosity is undeniable. The cumulative amount of money donated by these guys is well into the seven figures.

  21. Anyone who supports the underserved in any way should be praised. After the Conor debacle, I looked up Dustin’s charity on Charity Navigator, and there isn’t much detail there. It’s likely that Conor’s friends advised him to wait.
