  1. What this guy is accomplishing is truly impressive. Before the Oezdemir war, I had no idea who he was, and now I am a firm believer in him. Hopefully he doesn’t run in too quickly and bite the bullet.

  2. It’s interesting that, since Jon Jones’ departure, LHW has seen a spike of talent and interest. It’s more like the men’s flyweight revival after DJ went to One Championship.

  3. Isn’t it true that all questions are good questions?

In the same division, how can a ‘Champion’ and a ‘Number 1’ exist? Shouldn’t the order be Champion, 2nd, 3rd, and so on?

EDIT: I now know it’s “Number 1 contender” and other phrases like that. Thanks for the responses; I’m new to the ufc.

  4. Surprisingly, after Jones left, this division began to thrive once more. When StrikeForce was completely integrated into the UFC, middleweights began to receive killers in the same way. When a champion has 5 or more defenses, it seems that divisions become stagnant.

  5. Nemkov must be found!!! Make a rematch a reality!! Both are 28 years old, and they have the potential to make the division very competitive for a few years.

  6. Rakic is going to be pissed, but Jiri is deserving of it. I know some people think Jiri should only fight Rakic after the Glover fight, but I’d love to see Jiri vs Rakic.

  7. Thiago is certainly capable of stopping Jiri and acting as a gatekeeper, which explains why Jiri leapfrogged him – Thiago was defeated by Glover. Jan vs Jiri and Jan vs Rakic are both contenders, and I doubt the UFC wants to pit two rivals against each other and remove two fascinating title battles, Jan vs Jiri and Jan vs Rakic.

  8. He doesn’t have much of a chance against Jan. Prochazka is a fantastic striker, but his game is almost entirely based on his chin and ability to hit. Remember how Reyes was crushed by Jan? Jan’s strength is undeniable, and if Reyes will rock Prochazka a few times, you can bet Jan would do so again. Jan has strong endurance and is more cautious than Reyes.
