  1. Canelo landed the uppercut at 9:00, ending the contest and forcing Billy to leave. He had to go to the hospital with a fractured cheek or orbital bone, according to what I’ve read.

  2. Canelo’s pre-fight hype before putting Saunders on his stool was fucking epic.

Even if he came out after the bell, he knew he messed Saunders up.

  3. GGG’s ability to handle the uppercut is incredible. His and Canelo’s heads are made of concrete. For a long time, I don’t see anyone beating Canelo. I’m looking forward to following this guy’s career. Exceptionally gifted

  4. I was pleasantly surprised by Saunders’ success. In rounds 6 and 7, I was becoming concerned for Canelo as it seemed that BJ was beginning to figure him out.

  5. Caleb Plant has defeated Canelo Alvarez….

Tonya Harding style, with lackeys and pipes.

Plant is the only way I can see it winning.

  6. BJS was supposed to be his hardest test, and it was for a few rounds. Canelo found him out a lot quicker than I thought and smashed his face in the process. Billy’s sudden resignation surprised me, particularly after he repeatedly stated that he’d rather go out on his shield. Canelo is a one-of-a-kind fighter. If he fights until he’s old, no one can beat him.

  7. Canelo’s ability to turn it on is crazy. The commentators acted as if he was losing a lot of money. Then came the eighth round, and he demonstrated his abilities. Looking at the card, I figured it would be a much better fight than it turned out to be.

  8. By saying this, I don’t mean to disparage BJS or even boxing in general, but it’s amazing how often a fractured orbital bone is fought through in MMA, with the fighter only being stopped if the doctor determines the fighter can’t see out of the affected eye. This, however, occurs in boxing. Overall, it may be for the best; live to fight another day!

  9. I just want to see a slow-motion video of Saunders’ eye being busted by the last uppercut. Why is it so difficult for me to locate the replay?

  10. Saunders was tying up Canelo and forcing him to bear his weight in order to exhaust him. In the later rounds, I imagine that will be a significant drain.
